(Reuters) – Boeing Co confirmed late on Monday it will deploy a software bundle update to the 737 MAX 8, a few of hrs subsequent the Federal Aviation Administration mentioned it would mandate “design changes” in the plane by April.

Boeing did not reference Sunday’s Ethiopian Airways crash in connection to the software bundle update. The assertion did express the company’s condolences to the family members of the 157 adult men and ladies who died, however.
